Alexis Carrel John of Ruusbroec Claude Bernard

Alexis Carrel was born on June 28, 1873, Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, France and died: November 5, 1944 (age 71 years), Paris, France
Education: Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, University of Lyon
Award: Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine (1912)
Partner: Anne Gourlez de La Motte
Parents: Alexis Carrel-Billiard, Anne Ricard Carrel
Alexis Carrel (French: [alɛksi kaʁɛl]; 28 June 1873 – 5 November 1944) was a French surgeon and biologist who spent most of his scientific career in the United States. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1912 for pioneering vascular suturing techniques. He invented the first perfusion pump with Charles Lindbergh opening the way to organ transplantation. Carrel was also a pioneer in tissue culture, transplantology and thoracic surgery.
Carrel was a young surgeon who was deeply affected by the 1894 assassination of the French president, Sadi Carnot, who died from a severed portal vein that surgeons believed was irreparable.[12] This tragedy inspired Carrel to develop new techniques for suturing blood vessels, such as the "triangulation" technique using three stay-sutures to minimize damage to the vascular wall during suturing. Carrel learned this technique from an embroideress, and later incorporated it into his work. According to Julius Comroe, Carrel performed every feat and developed every technique in vascular surgery using experimental animals between 1901 and 1910, leading to his great success in reconnecting arteries and veins and performing surgical grafts. These achievements earned him the Nobel Prize in 1912.

During World War I (1914–1918), Carrel and the English chemist Henry Drysdale Dakin developed the Carrel–Dakin method of treating wounds with an antiseptic solution based on chlorine, known as Dakin's solution. This method, which involved wound debridement and irrigation with a high volume of antiseptic fluid, was a significant medical advancement in the absence of antibiotics. For his contributions, Carrel was awarded the Légion d'honneur. The Carrel–Dakin method became widely used in hospitals. The mechanical irrigation technique developed by Carrel is still used today.

Tissue culture and cellular senescenceedit

Carrel developed methods to keep animal tissues alive in culture. He was interested in the phenomenon of senescence or aging. He believed that all cells continued to grow indefinitely, which became a widely accepted view in the early 20th century.[22] In 1912, Carrel began an experiment at the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, where he cultured tissue from an embryonic chicken heart in a stoppered Pyrex flask of his own design. He supplied the culture with nutrients regularly and maintained it for over 20 years, longer than a chicken's normal lifespan. This experiment received significant popular and scientific attention, but it was never successfully replicated.

Sadly he is associated with eugenic policies in France

Accirding to Alexis Carrel, "The writings of Ruusbroec contain many truths as those of Claude Bernard."

John of Ruusbroec or Jan van Ruusbroec (pronounced [ˈjɑn vɑn ˈryzbruk]; 1293/1294 – 2 December 1381), sometimes modernized Ruysbroeck, was an Augustinian canon and one of the most important of the medieval mystics of the Low Countries. Some of his main literary works include The Kingdom of the Divine LoversThe Twelve BeguinesThe Spiritual EspousalsA Mirror of Eternal BlessednessThe Little Book of Enlightenment, and The Sparkling Stone. Some of his letters also survive, as well as several short sayings (recorded by some of his disciples, such as Jan van Leeuwen). He wrote in the Dutch vernacular, the language of the common people of the Low Countries, rather than in Latin, the language of the Catholic Church liturgy and official texts, in order to reach a wider audience

Claude Bernard (born July 12, 1813, Saint-Julien, France—died Feb. 10, 1878, Paris) was a French physiologist known chiefly for his discoveries concerning the role of the pancreas in digestion, the glycogenic function of the liver, and the regulation of the blood supply by the vasomotor nerves. On a broader stage, Bernard played a role in establishing the principles of experimentation in the life sciences, advancing beyond the vitalism and indeterminism of earlier physiologists to become one of the founders of experimental medicine. His most seminal contribution was his concept of the internal environment of the organism, which led to the present understanding of homeostasis—i.e., the self-regulation of vital processes.

Plato (/ˈpleɪtoʊ/ PLAY-toe;[1] Greek: Πλάτων), born Aristocles (Ἀριστοκλῆς; c. 427 – 348 BC), was an ancient Greek philosopher of the Classical period who is considered a foundational thinker in Western philosophy and an innovator of the written dialogue and dialectic forms. He raised problems for what became all the major areas of both theoretical philosophy and practical philosophy, and was the founder of the Platonic Academy, a philosophical school in Athens where Plato taught the doctrines that would later become known as Platonism.

Plato's most famous contribution is the theory of forms (or ideas), which has been interpreted as advancing a solution to what is now known as the problem of universals. He was decisively influenced by the pre-Socratic thinkers Pythagoras, Heraclitus, and Parmenides, although much of what is known about them is derived from Plato himself

Along with his teacher Socrates, and Aristotle, his student, Plato is a central figure in the history of philosophy.
Plato's entire body of work is believed to have survived intact for over 2,400 years—unlike that of nearly all of his contemporaries.

Although their popularity has fluctuated, they have consistently been read and studied through the ages.
Through Neoplatonism, he also greatly influenced both Christian and Islamic philosophy.
In modern times, Alfred North Whitehead famously said: "the safest general characterization of the European philosophical tradition is that it consists of a series of footnotes to Plato."

The forms of human activity considered by Plato are more specific of our nature than hunger thirst sexual appetite and greed.

Since the Renaissance a privileged position has arbitrarily been given to certain aspects of man. Matter has been separated from mind. To matter has been attributed g greater reality than to mind.

Physiology and medicine have directed their attention to the chemical manifestation of the body's activities and to the organic disorders expressed by microscopic lesions of the tissues.

Sociology has envisaged man almost from the point of view of his ability to run machines of his output of work, of his capacity as a consumer of his economic value.

Pedagogy has directed its efforts toward the intellectual and muscular development of the children.
But these sciences have neglected the study if the various  aspects of consciousness.

They should have examined man in the converging light of physiology and psychology.

They should have utilized data supplied by introspection and by study of behavior.

What We Learn from Alexis Carrel

Man the Unknown by Alex Carrel

1935

The enormous advange gained by the science of Inanimate matter over those of living things is one of the greatest catastrophes ever suffered by humanity.

This environment  born of our intelligence  and our inventions is adjusted neither to our nature nor to our shape. We are unhappy. We degenerate morally and mentally.

The groups and the nations in which the industrial civilization attained its highest development are precisely those which are becoming weaker. And whose return to barbarism is the most rapid. But they do not realize it. They are withoit protection against the histile surroundings that science has built around them. We are victims of the backwardness of sciences of life over matter.

Since the natural conditions of existence have been destroyed by modern civilization the science of man has become the most necessary of all sciences.

The education dispensed by schools and universities consist chiefly in training the memory and of the muscles and in a certain manner the worship of the athletics. Are such disciplines really suitable for the modern men who need above all other things mental equilibrium,  nervous stability, sound judgment, audacity, moral courage and endurance?

Why do hygienists behave as though human beings were exclusively liable to infections diseases while theybare also exposed to the attack of nervous and mental disorders and to weakening of the mind?

Our life is influenced in large measure by commercial advertising. Such publicity is undertaken only in the interest of the advertisers and not of the consumers.

For example the public has been made to believe that white bread is better than brown. Then flower has been bolted more and more and deprived of its most useful components. Such tratament permit its preservation for longer periods of time and facilitate making the bread. The consumata inferior product believing it to be a superior one. And in countries where bread is the principal food populatiin degenerates.

As a result large quantities of alimentary and pharmaceutical products at the least useless and often harmful have become a necessity for civilized men.

In this manner greetings of individuals, sufficiently shrewd to create a popular demand for goods that they have fornsaleplays a leading part in the modern world.

In the organuzation of industrial life the influence of the factory upon the psychological and mental state of the workers has been completely neglected. Modern industry is based in the conception of the maximum production at lower costs in order that an individual or a group of individuals may earn as much as possible.

Each individual does a great many more things that in the past. Every day he comes in contact with more peoples, and quiet moments are exceptional in his existence. Intimacy no longer exist. The life of the small group has been subsituted with that of the heard.solitude is looked upon as a punishment or as a rare luxury.

What We Learn from Indrid Cold

Source: Indrid Cold's Book of  Close Encounters Case Histories of Close  Contacts by Valiant Thor

The experience of ET contacts is usually suppressed in the subconscious mind by a few techniques; drugs, alien hypnotic techniques or the use of some advanced electronic technology.

UFO propulsion according to Carl Higdon of Wyoming hypnotic recall in 1972 indicated that the craft was powered by a magnetic force allowing speeds as rapidly as the aliens required. They (et) have a "rod" which is a teleportation device that allows people and et to enter and exit the ship by teleportation.

They give people pills containing hypnotic agents that take away the will.

They came here for hunting and fishing because the concentrated food in their world did not sustain them.
Some Et can be burned by our sun, and that is the reason they wear uniforms.

In Italy, people received messages from the Cosmic Council that condemned people of the earth for their inhuman behavior. The people to which the truth is hidden are governed by falsehood. Shameful crimes are considered acts of heroism. Violence becomes a necessity in our society, racial hatred is a normal thing in our society. Religion has been transformed into fanatism.
An evolution that has failed is a planetary catastrophe. Humanity is rigorously supervised by a superior race who will never permit it to come to the disaster of a nuclear war.

Cigar-shaped craft according to George Adamski (1952 records) was a mother ship. Disk-shaped flying saucers were reported to be scout ships. They were launched from the mother crafts as shuttle vehicles between the ship and Earth.

The scout ships were said to be propelled by a form of magnetic energy. Adamski reported that magnetic energy was years ahead of US Government research into such propulsion.

According to Adamski, several "Venussians" (which are inner earth people with advanced technology) have tried to land openly on Earth and they were killed.

Apparently, all planets in our solar system are inhabited by humanoids. Also, many individuals from Earth were "kidnapped willingly and taken to various planets to live".

Adamski's adventures as an alleged contactee were covered in two books "Flying Saucers Have Landed" and "Inside the Spaceship ". These books contain a lengthy Exposition of the philosophy of the visitors. George Adamski died in 1963.

Other books written by the contactee talk about their experience with other beings; are: Aboard A Flying Saucer by Truman Berthurum, "White Sand Incident" by Daniel Fry (1966). One of these groups is apparently, Valiant Thor's crew of people who wanted to stop the nuclear war and nuclear testing on Earth.

Earth revolves around the Sun. The Sun is a star in a galaxy that has around 100 billion stars. Our galaxy is one of 10 billion galaxies known today.

Life develops in the center of a galaxy first, and Earth is located on the outer reaches of its galaxy. So civilizations in the Milky Way may have achieved space travel as many as two million years ago.

The Theory of relativity does not say that man cannot travel faster than the speed of light. I merely state that no one on earth will be able to see him do it.

UFO, are propelled by "free energy" some natural force that is available without cost. This free energy might be harnessed and light and heat our homes. Electrical generating stations would be closed for lack of customers. Coal mines would close down. Oil fields would be abandoned.

Schools would be closed for the obsolete information they provide. Professors should assimilate new knowledge from UFOnauts. This would close down the educational system which is now a nationwide industry.

Printing books, shipping them to bookstores and waiting for the buyers is an unreliable system.

Et might be using mental contact procedures to talk to the leaders of each country.

CIA is a censoring organization of some UFO sightings and contacts.

History reveals that many of the old kings emperors and rulers reported contact or visitations with various types of entities.

Lessons from the Alchemist

Source: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Never stop dreaming.
Follow the omens.
There is a language in the world that everyone understands. It is the language of enthusiasm for things accomplished with life and purpose and as part of a search for something believed in and desired.

When you want something,  all the universe conspires to help you achieve it.

Everything in life is an omen. There is a universal language understood by everybody but already forgotten.
The words luck and coincidence are used to write that universal language.

The closer one gets to realizing his Personal Legend, the more the Personal Legend becomes his true reason for being.

The universal language that deals with the past and the present of all peoples is called "Hunches".

Intuition. is really a sudden immersion of the soul into the universal current of life where the history of all people is connected and we can know everything because it is all written there.

People need not fear the unknown of what they are capable of achieving what they need and want.

The principle that governs all things is called in alchemy the Soul of the World. When you want something with all your heart, that's when you are closest țo the Soul of the World. It's always a positive force.

Everything on the face of the earth had a soul, whether mineral, vegetable, animal or even a simple thought.

Everything on Earth is being continuously transformed because Earth is alive and it has a soul. We are part of that soul, but we rarely recognize that it is working for us.

The alchemists believe that if a metal were heated for many years it would free itself of all individual properties and what was left would be the Soul of the World.

This soul of the world allowed them to understand anything on the face of the earth because it was the language with which all things communicated.

They called that discovery the Master Work it was part liquid and part solid.

The liquid part of the Master Work was called the Elixir of Life and it curred all illnesses and kept the Alchemist from growing old.

The solid part was called the Philosopher's Stone.

The purification of the metals led to the purification of themselves.

The philosopher's stone has a fascinating property; a small silver stone can transform large quantities of metal into gold.

Peoples that have succeeded in doing so were Helvetius, Elias, Fulcanelli and Geber. Each of them lived the Personal Legend to the end. They travelled, spoke with wise men, performed miracles, and owned the Philosopher Stone and the Elixir of Life.

If you concentrate only on the present you'll be a happy man.

There is a language of omens,  always ready to show people what their eyes failed to observe.

There is only one way to learn. It's through action.

God created the world so that, through its visible objects, men could understand his spiritual teachings and marvel of his wisdom. That is action.

If you contemplate a simple grain of sand, you will see all the marvels of creation.

One life's simple lesson. When you possess great treasures within you and try to tell others of them seldom are you believed.

Your eyes show the strength of your soul.

A man who interferes with the Personal Legend of another thing never will discover his Personal Legend.

Don't give up on your fears. If you do you won't be able to talk to your heart.
If a person is living a personal Legend he knows everything he needs to know.

There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.

Notes:  The book talks about Melchizedek

In the BibleMelchizedek 'king of righteousness,' 'my king is righteousness,' or ‘my king is Zedek, also transliterated Melchisedech or Malki Tzedek, was the king of Salem and priest of El Elyon (often translated as 'most high God'). He is first mentioned in Genesis 14:18–20, where he brings out bread and wine and then blesses Abram and El Elyon.

In Christianity, according to the Epistle to the HebrewsJesus is identified as "High priest forever in the order of Melchizedek", and so Jesus assumes the role of High Priest once and for all.

Hebrew Bible

Genesis 14

The narrative of Genesis 14 is part of the larger story telling how Abram returns from defeating king Chedorlaomer and meets with Bera the king of Sodom, at which point:

And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine: and he was [is] the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, 'Blessed be Abram to the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth, And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand'. And he gave him tithe from all.

— Genesis 14:18–20, King James Version

Dead Sea Scrolls

11Q13 (11QMelch) is a fragment of a text, dated to the end of the second or start of the first century BC, about Melchizedek, found in Cave 11 at Qumran in the West Bank and part of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Melchizedek is seen as a divine being in the text and is referred to as "El" or "Elohim", titles usually reserved for God

The author of Heb 7:3 affirms of Melchizedek: "He is without father or mother or genealogy; he has neither beginning of days nor end of life . . . he continues a priest forever."
